CHARLOTTE- Cozell Vance, 79, of 3032 Polk and White Road, Charlotte, died Sept. 22, 2014, at Novant Health Presbyterian Center.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Long Branch.
Funeral Service: Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014, Long Branch Baptist Church, Grover, at 1:30 p.m.
Burial: Long Branch Cemetery.
Funeral Home: J.W. Gill & Sons is serving the family.

This brought a tear to my eye and a smile to my face! Mrs. Vance was a great lady! I will always remember her smiling! Deborah Hayes Conard and I will forever be thankful that she got us out of " an unbearable class " senior year! Rest in peace.

Mrs. Vance was one of the most inspirational individuals in my life. I remember when I was trying to decide where I wanted to go to college and she bought me into her office and said "Keith.. where do you want to go to college? I said I would like to go to UNC but I doubt I could get in. She said.. then that's where you going!!" Enough said!!
